Ps Andrew Hayes, Living life from a higher perspective.
Nothing that comes against us can overcome when we are in Christ.
Christ is the greatest and above all others.
The God of the bible is Love, not persecution. He doesn't want us to live a life in shame.
ISAIAH 40:29 - No matter how smart we are, we are not smart enough.
- No matter how strong we are, we are not strong enough.
- That's why we need Christ.
We are born for greatness. So don't get stuck in our doubts.
Even though we may feel we are below the expectation line. God is changing us to be all God wants us to be.
We have been given vision for long term achievements/outcomes.
ISAIAH 5:8 - His thoughts for our lives.
- Don't just be a survivor, but rather, be a thriver.
- Eagles, when faced with a storm, fly face on into the storm.
- If battling through a storm, keep your eyes focused on the Son.
- Clear your life of negatives.
- build your house high, and surround yourself with positive people.
- Be happy to change/reinvent yourself.
- You can choose to stay the same, or change to be renewed.

Ps Andrew Harper- "Keeping it sweet"
- Relationships are so much stronger with God included in them
- The world wants desires in their hearts to be fulfilled. Only God can do this!
2 Timothy 3:12- We need to be prepared.
Mark 10:29- Receive 1000 fold.
- There's going to be persecutions, and trials in our lives. So in these times, lean into God to overcome.
John15:15- The true line.
- Providence= God directing all things to a fruitful outcome/ purpose.
- Wherever we are in our lives, God is with us.
- GOD CAN DO ANYTHING!
- The greatest part within you, is your spirit.
1.- Don't lose your faith, God promises he'll bring you through your circumstances.
God will prune your life, because he loves you.
2.- Don't isolate yourself, seek counsel.
Proverbs12:15- Counsel is the knowledge of God, and many ideas leading to one conclusion. What's best for you.
3- Persecution is usually from just one person, or thing.
- We have to be willing to sacrifice for true love.
John 15:12 - As I have loved you.
2 Corinthians5:14-15
Romans 13:4 - Love one another. Love does no harm.
Ephesians4:25 - Be honest with each other. Keep your heart sweet. (see through the love of God). Don't let your heart be overwhelmed.
Ephesians 4:32 - Be kind to one another, (forgiveness). Grant relief.

A Shift in Perspective

A shift in perspective.
We are privileged to see things from a spiritual point of view.
2 Corinthians 12 - Paul in the third person.
The Devil can't remove from us what we understand. So we need to be strong in understanding Gods word.
For us as Christians, finding is reserved fo those of us who actively seek God.
John 17:15 -Jesus praying for you and I.
John 10:10 - The Thief, steal, kill and destroy.
The devils plan is to make your life as tumultuous and distracting as possible.
- Don't lose faith in these times, but rather use these times to call on the lord.
- There is a demonic kingdom that exist here on Earth.
- We are created incapable of having no faith. We are designed to have faith in something. Jesus warns us that the thief is ever present, and wants to steal our faith, to move us further away from God, ( to change the direction of our faith).
- With God we can overcome the world.
- Satan can shift material things around, with the permission of God.
- Judas was always known as a thief, which made it easy for Satan to convince him to betray Christ.
- Our faith gives us grace through God.
- Grace only comes from God, not anything we do.
- Satan will try to deceive us, by showing that we are unworthy of grace. Which is true, but has been overcome by the sacrifice of Christ.
- Faith is an unwavering belief.
- Trials and tribulations will still happen, so build up your faith.
2 Peter:1 - Faith is the foundation.
Grace is founded, not in our actions. But rather in Gods!

Creation vs Evolution.
Ps 24:1-2
Being created is the foundation of us being.
Young people are often confused by evolution teaching in our schools, but then being contradicted in church.
Even as detailed as the evolution argument is. The stronger and more convincing argument comes from creation.

2 Peter3:5-8 -
Scoffers forget Gods word telling us what happened.
- The best evidence is having someone there when it happened, (God).
- Geology is really only guessing at approximate dates, and distracts us from God.
Creation=Garden of Eden(sin introduced) leads to death which was overcome by Christs sacrifice to redeem us with God.
Evolution= Apes- Died- progressed to man now.
Biblical History goes -
creation----------------I
corruption------------I
catastrophe----------I
confusion-------------I
christ-------------------I
cross--------------------I
consumation.---------I
If you look at the geological time scale, the first thing to do is to get rid of the estimated time scale. Because it's speculation, and distracting.
Variation is creation, not evolution.
e.g. All dog types are a variation of the wolf.
Noahs flood covered the whole Earth, covering even the highest mountains.
Genesis8:4 - The specifics of the arks resting place. You can also get "The creatio n answers book".
Noahs evidence can be seen all over the world. In Australia, can be evidenced by the great artesian basin.
Fossils can only be formed/trapped by great sudden catastrophes'. (rapidly) receding waters. Also in central Australia, boulders rounded by great waters.
Then from Newcastle to Woolongong the whole area is layered sandstone, where you can see cross bedding, within the cuttings, from rivers flowing through mountains, rather than around them.
The Olgas, (escarpment cliffs) carved by receding waters, (the great flood).
Radioactive dating works on assumptions, and only reads argon levels. Argon can be measured, but the start point is unknown to measure it against.
Thus there is only one true way to know the age of something. And that is to have someone there to evidence it at the time to keep records of it. This is Gods word.
Thus we can be confident that the saving grace of Jesus Christ is real.

- We are being used to save our family, through christ.
-We have a loving God who wants us to not suffer, but be saved through Jesus Christ.

The Armor of God (Praying).
Ephesians6:10-20
The strength we need in our life, comes from God.
We are in a spiritual battle. So we need to be covered in the armor of god.
- Read Gods word, and pray into every situation.
- God is on your side, and can overcome ALL obstacles, so we can see changes in our lives.
* Epesians6:18 - Prayer and supplication
1 Thesalonians5:16 - Pray without ceasing.
To pray this way is to recognise the need for God in all our situations.
- If you are in constant need of God, you are amongst the strongest of Gods followers.
- If you are not conscious of God, you are not conscious of sin either.
So keep God at the forefront of your mind, in every situation.
Stay God conscious.
Matthew 7:7-12 -Ask and it will be given to you.
- this is the law of the prophets.
- Pray in the spirit - Romans 8:26
- We may not know exactly what we need for our own good. But by praying in the spirit (tongues), God will give us exactly what we need, for our own good.
- We don't need long drawn out prayers to be effective. Prayer in the spirit is concise.
- god doesn't just want prayers from us for the sake of it. But because God wants a connection.
- God is personal.
1 personal prayer is better 1000 repetition prayers.
- A prayer with hope, is a prayer with perseverance. By doing prayer this way can change us internally.
Romans8:24-26 -Saved in hope.
- By praying for situations within the community around us, God can change our thought patterns. So change can happen all around us.

Ephesian6:10-18 - )Foundation of this series)
- The helmet of salvation.
- Foundation , is understanding the protection we have in God against evil.
Hold up your faith shield when under attack. Remembering the power of the word of God,(bible).
-Jesus is our salvation, to protect against the ongoing evil attacks.
- a lot of our vulnerabilities are mental, so the head needs protection, and we can stay focused on Jesus' sacrifice.
Romans6:23
Romans5:8-10 -Reconciliation with God.
Every human being has sinned. That's why we required Jesus' sacrifice.
Ephesians2:8-9
- Our salvation is a gift, but we need to take some important steps to fully receive.
1. Understand that our sin is separating us from God.
2. We need to repent of our sins, for saving grace, through Jesus Christ.
1.a.- We need to acknowledge our sins.
2.a - We really need to turn away from our sinning ways. We need to take these steps, and not just be complacent to just" be Christian".
1 Thessalonians 5:8-11- the helmet protects our mind, and gives us hope in salvation, Christ saving us.
- Christs sacrifice should flood us in hope when we are in difficult situations.
1 John17:15-16
1 Peter 5:8
- The enemy is constantly after us, but salvation is constantly protecting us.
1st way the helmet protects.- Wearing the helmet lets us live in hope/salvation, that is real.
- The devil wants us to live in despair. But salvation protects us from evil, but also temptation.
2nd way the helmet protects, - is to protect our identity.
Often peoples identity is lost in doubt.
- When our identity is damaged, we can respond in the wrong way.
Romans14:17
Collosians1:27- We need to keep coming back to Christ, to get back to our identity.
Every morning, when we wake, we need to understand our identity in Christ. Set our identity before we begin the day. We are loved,(Perfectly and unconditionally).
Always be conscious of this.
If we can accept the love of God, we can love ourselves.
If as a believer, we deny Gods love, we are disrespecting the cross.
2 Corrinthians5:7amp.
Romans8:35.

Romans 6:15-23
We are either slaves to God, or slaves to sin. We can't be both!
If you're doing things in your life that wouldn't do in front of others, then that's not what God wants for you.
While your sinning, you can't be with God.
All sin always equals death. But God has released us from our sin through Jesus.
The message of the cross is our empowerment in God.
If we don't understand how bad sin really is, then we can't understand the power of grace either.
We don't receive grace so we can sin. We receive grace so we can live a life of righteousness.
2 Peter 1-7
Sharing Gods divine nature of life.
2 Peter 1:8-13
Work hard at being a child of God.
Do these things and receive eternal life.
Don't do them at our own peril, (lose eternity).
Chose either sin or righteousness.
1 Corinthians 10:6-13
Sinning is the wages of death, and always will.
God will not allow temptations to be more than we can handle.
Our lifestyles often cause us to sin.
Galatians 5:19-22
But the Holy spirit produces the good things in our lives.
Ephesians5:1-5
When the unbelievers talk and do immoral things, doesn't mean we as believers can also, because that leads to death.
Revelations21:5-8
2 Corinthians 5:16-17
All these things apply from the beginning to the end.
2 Corinthians5:18-21
When we belong to Christ, our old ways are left behind, so we can be reconciled with God through Christ.
If we say we don't sin, we are calling God a liar.
The sin message is so important, God took it off us, and put it onto his son, so we can still have a relationship with God.

5/10/14 "Armor of God" Continued.
Ephesians 6:10-20, - Taking up the armor of god, for God to change us from the inside out.
SWORD OF THE SPIRIT.-
The word of God, the the only part of Gods armor that is offence, every other piece is defensive.
-The sword is doubled edged.
- Why is the word of God seen as a sword?
- Because the sword was used up close and Personal.
-As a Christian our biggest battles will be personally.
-God's word is/can be used daily.
-Our God is a personal God.
* Our faith allows us to have a personal relationship with God, where other religions require other things before you can be with God.
Hebrews 4:12- His words can cut to the core of issues.
even if we try to deceive ourselves with incorrect thoughts, or intentions.
- The enemy we face only wants to draw away from Gods purpose.
So we need to use the sword to cut away at the falsehoods of the devil.
- Ours is a God who wants to be called on daily.
-We should never underestimate the importance of God's ever presence.
